Before you ask
Is it really free?
Yes, and it always will be — the free tier isn't a trial. Everything on this page above the Pro section works with no account, no usage cap, and no clock running out. Pro is an optional upgrade for people who want saved niches, history, and the deeper tools; it will never be a requirement, and nothing free today gets taken away or nerfed to push you toward it.
Why no sales estimates like other tools?
Because Etsy doesn't share sales data with anyone. Tools showing "monthly revenue" are modeling a guess — and those guesses are the most common accuracy complaint in their own reviews. NicheScope only reports what's verifiably on the page, clearly labeled as exactly that.
What data does it collect about me?
On the free tier: none. There's no account, no analytics beacon, no server — the analysis runs inside your browser on the page you're viewing, and the results stay on your device. Pro is nearly the same: your saved niches and history still live only in your browser, but activating a license key does check with our server that it's valid, the same way any paid software checks a license.
Does it work on small niches?
Yes — it analyzes whatever the search returns. Small niches simply mean a smaller sample (say 15–20 listings instead of 65), which is still plenty to read pricing and competition at a glance.
Why is there a paid tier now if it started free?
The core research tool needs to stay free to be useful to everyone browsing Etsy, so it will. Pro funds the parts that take ongoing work to keep running — tracking niches over time, and keeping the scraper working as Etsy's own pages change — rather than being a way to slowly wall off what used to be free.
